Cosy Three Bedroom Shell Apartment

Ghajnsielem, Gozo

3 Bedrooms | 2 Bathrooms | Shell

On the outskirts of Ghajnsielem, the island's first village inwards from the harbour, we can soon find this three-bedroom apartment. Ghajnsielem is the island's youngest village, on its southeast coast. It is home to the Mgarr fishing village, the best spot for watching the sunrise over Comino.

The photo above is of this area, not of this apartment's location or views.

This 117.65-square metre home opens into the open-plan living/dining/kitchen area. This is a nice-sized room that leads out onto a balcony. The bedrooms and bathroom are all connected to this area, making it a cosy and homely apartment. One of the back bedrooms has a balcony, and another has an en-suite. Perhaps the front bedroom would be better suited as an office or playroom by the new owner.

This wheelchair-friendly apartment forms part of a project which is estimated to be in shell form by the end of December 2022 and completely finished by June 2023. Optional garages are available and the price includes the common parts.

Għajnsielem, meaning ‘spring of peace’, is a municipality on the southeastern coast and the youngest village on the island. It is the first village beyond the main harbour and has a population of just over 3,000 residents.

The Mgarr fishing village in Għajnsielem is the best spot for watching the sunrise over Comino or having a drink in the famous Gleneagles bar, a favourite haunt for the novelist A. J. Quinnell, best known for his novel ‘Man on Fire’.

Għajnsielem’s religious culture is strong, with over ten processions a year and its own real-life Bethlehem, which pulls in visitors every year from all over. Għajnsielem is home to Fort Chambray, built in the mid-18th century by the Order of Saint John. The closest swimming and diving spot to Ghajnsielem is Xatt L-ahmar, a secluded, rocky bay whose name means ‘red beach’.
