Apartment in Victoria's Quiet Suburb

Fontana, Gozo

3 Bedrooms | 2 Bathrooms | Shell

This snug home can be found in the small village of Fontana, up the hill from Xlendi Bay and a few minutes from the island's capital. Its local name is "It-Triq tal-Għajn", the way to the spring, where the local ladies used to wash their clothes. Fontana is most famous for its firework enthusiasts as, although it is one of the smallest villages, it produces more spectacular fireworks than any other village on the island.

The photo above is of the surrounding area and not the view from the property.

Once completed, this apartment will open into its living/dining/kitchen area. The living area will lead to a south-facing balcony, a perfect sunny spot for winding down in the afternoons. There will be a covered storage area on the balcony, which could be used as a boxroom, or a washing machine could be placed here for more convenience. Behind the kitchen and going down the hallway, there will be the main bathroom followed by the main bedroom with an en-suite. Further down the hallway at the back of the home will be another two bedrooms, one with a balcony. Perhaps one of these bedrooms could be used as an office or playroom if it would serve the new owner well.

This apartment will make a great home, minutes from the island's centre and the beautiful Xlendi Bay.

This apartment forms part of a project which is estimated to be in shell form by the end of December 2021 and completely finished by June 2022.

Optional garages are available.

Fontana is a tiny village that used to be a suburb of the city of Victoria and has a small population of fewer than a thousand residents. The local name is ‘It-Triq tal-Għajn’, meaning ‘the way to the spring’. It was given this name because of the big spring where locals used to wash their clothes.

The village is located just above Xlendi Bay, which is still a working fishing village. Fontana’s residents were also farmers who worked their fertile lands by the Lunzjata Valley.

Although one of the smallest villages, Fontana is famous for its spectacular firework displays and draws spectators from all over the island.
