Third Floor Apartment Close to Pretty Bay
Recently reduced in price from €320,000 to €270,000, this third-floor, two-bedroom apartment is in a small block of five units just a stone's throw from Pretty Bay in Birzebbuga. The area is buzzing with life in summer thanks to the cafes, restaurants and large leisure areas created for the public just behind the bay itself. It benefits from open space where children play and teens ride bikes while their parents and grandparents gather to share the day's gossip most afternoons and evenings throughout the year. In winter is it popular for long walks and exercising along the coast.
This cosy home consists of an open-plan kitchen/living/dining room connected to a front balcony overlooking the street. Towards the back of the open plan, a corridor leads to the sleeping quarters. First on the left is the main bathroom, and next is one of the two bedrooms. The second bedroom is found at the end of the corridor and is connected to a back balcony, which brings natural light into the back of this property.
The construction work on this home will be fully completed by the end of 2022. This property can be sold in a semi-finished state or, if the future owners prefer to carry out the finishes themselves, there is the option to be sold in shell form.

Birżebbuġa is a quiet fishing port and small resort in the south of the island, close to Malta Freeport and container terminal. There is a sandy beach suitable for young families at Pretty Bay, with a number of restaurants and shops.
Birżebbuġa is also home to three important archaeological sites. Għar Dalam is a cave with Neolithic remains; a new species of dwarf hippopotamus (extinct) was discovered here. Many of the remains can be seen in the museum, and part of the cave is open to the public. Borġ in-Nadur, the second site, has the last remnants of a Bronze Age village and Megalithic temple. The third site, Ta' Kaċċatura, is a complex with an old Roman visa and underground cisterns. The villa still has some equipment remaining from its time producing and exporting olive oil.
House prices in Birżebbuġa are lower than the average in Malta.
