Fine Home with Spectacular Views
This three-bedroom terraced house can be found high up on the island's popular village of Xaghra, right on the quiet outskirts, with sprawling valley views.
Xaghra is a vibrant village; the square is bustling and scattered with restaurants and coffee bars. Xaghra is home to the megalithic Ggantija Temples, a UNESCO World Heritage site and amongst the oldest free-standing temples in the world. The closest beaches to Xaghra are Marsalforn and Ramla Bay, both less than a 10-minute drive from this home.
This house opens into a bright and airy hallway that leads you past the stairs and into the open-plan living/dining/kitchen area. This is a large open space that starts off with the slightly elevated kitchen on the right and the current owner's art bench on the left. The kitchen is nicely fitted and well equipped, and it looks ahead to the stunning views.
Further in, onto the dining and living area, it's hard to look at anything other than the view, thanks to the large window that almost runs the width of this home. This space is bright and airy even on the dullest of days. For the really cold days, this room has a wood and coal fireplace. Imagine watching a storm out of that window while snuggled up by the fire!
Next to the large window is the door to the 35 square metre terrace, followed by a couple of steps leading past the pool on the right. The pool is heated and comes with jets, making it possible to swim against these jets for exercise or simply for having fun and making whirlpools for the little ones. There is still ample space on the terrace for a barbeque area and loungers for relaxing and simply taking in the view.
The view does not only stretch ahead and beyond, there is a quaint stretch underneath with paths, groves and gardens. It's a true delight to relax and look out over these views, especially since you don't need to worry about the upkeep of these gardens.
Going to the first floor, before the kitchen, up the first couple of stairs is the guest toilet. The current owner has skillfully converted the space under the stairs into a pullout storage area.
On the first floor are two bedrooms and a spacious landing, currently exhibiting the owner's art. The bedroom on the front side of the house comes with an en-suite and a balcony overlooking an ODZ area.
The impressive main bedroom has been set up by its current owner to also serve as a mini library and office. Walking through this bedroom we first pass by its wall of knowledge and into its office area, nicely lit by one of the two doors leading to the terrace.
This room has a fitted wardrobe that leads into its stylish en-suite bathroom. The other large terrace door allows ample natural light to flood in. The terrace from this bedroom overlooks the downstairs terrace and pool and also has the same vast, distant sea and stunning country views.
Up to the second floor is the third bedroom, a kitchenette/washroom, and a front terrace. The third bedroom also has an en-suite and its own terrace overlooking the back of the property with far-reaching views.
For convenience, the current owner set up a kitchenette in the washroom to be able to easily serve small dinners on this floor's terrace. This terrace is 22 square metres large, just enough space for scattering some plant pots and enjoying a meal up here on a summer evening overlooking an ODZ area.
The doors and windows in this property have been double glazed and where necessary have had extra thick glass installed even in the wooden front doors. Most of the windows come with net screens and some doors have American-style net screens.
Finally, this home comes with a garage with unusual space. Being partially under the ramp, this garage can easily fit a regular-sized car and a smaller car or motorbike at the back, whilst still having space wrapping around to the side under the ramp for storage. The garage is well ventilated, and close to the garage is the pool's pump room and an extra storage closet.
This view is one of the best that we have ever seen at Curbsy, and we know the new owners will fall in love with it just as we have.

Xaghra, the island’s second largest village, is located centrally to the northeast side of the island. Xaghra is a lively village perched on one of Gozo’s three hills.
It is probably the most popular village among tourists due to its historical heritage, myths, lively square and sandy red beach, Ramla il-Hamra. Xaghra is one of the earliest inhabited parts of Gozo, being home to the Ggantija megalithic temples which date back to the year 3600BC.
Xaghra has fascinating caves such as Calypso’s cave, where according to myth, Calypso kept Odysseus as a `prisoner of love’ for seven years.
The village church is dedicated to Our Lady of Victories, locally known as il-Bambina, celebrated on the 8th of September, one of Gozo’s last celebrated feasts in the year.
