The Nostalgic Corner House of Character
This diamond in the rough is hidden in plain sight in the tranquil village of Kercem. Just a stone's throw from the evergreen Lunzjata valley, this house has the charm that a traditional house of character in Gozo should have.
As you step through the doorway you are greeted by a palm tree in its traditional internal courtyard. Rooms are scattered around the courtyard, some with beautiful arches. Ideally, one or two of these rooms would be opened up, creating a more modern and practical space. The ground floor is big enough to have a combined kitchen and dining area, living area, bathroom and box room.
The external staircase leads from the courtyard to the first floor, where there are currently four rooms and a terrace overlooking the internal courtyard. These rooms can be turned into three bedrooms and a toilet or a second bathroom, two bedrooms and a study. There is also the possibility to use up some of the terrace space if desired.
This house, in need of some TLC, could be skillfully converted and restored into a comfortable house of character with beautiful features just minutes away from the island's beating heart.

Kercem is a small, sleepy village with a population of fewer than 2,000 residents. It is very close to Victoria but full of quiet areas such as the picturesque Lunzjata Valley, which the Knights of St. John were so enamoured with that they favoured it for their hunting.
Kercem was inhabited as early as 4500 BC and is well known for its cultural family fair, held out in the beautiful countryside. The village’s church is dedicated to Our Lady of Soccorso.
