Central Townhouse with Garden
Just off the village square of Nadur, this townhouse is waiting to be renovated into a family home. The home has four bedrooms, a courtyard, a garden and a box room over three floors. The views from the rooftop are stunning (scroll down to see more).
When our team was on-site, we could already imagine what a great household this one was. This house must have been buzzing with life decades ago, but now it needs new owners to restore it to its former glory.
Once we entered the house, the ground level started with a hallway and a living room. Moving on, the hallway led us an open area at the bottom of the stairwell, which could be made into a study area. The living room opened into a dining room, connected to the kitchen. These spaces could be brought back to their original use or could be rearranged to have more open plan areas.
Going up to the floor above, there are four bedrooms, two at the front and two at the back. The two bedrooms at the front share a balcony. One of two bedrooms at the back has a private terrace, and the fourth bedroom has a balcony that overlooks the courtyard.
This house has distant sea views from its roof, which would be a lovely backdrop for a barbeque on a summer evening.
The approximate measurements of this home are as follows.
The ground floor living room is 20 square metres. The little area under the stairs is 12. The living room opens onto the dining room, is 30 square metres, which in turn is connected to the 12-square metre kitchen. These spaces could be rearranged by the new owners to be more open plan.
Of the four bedrooms, the first is 10 and the second is 15 square metres. These share a balcony. The third bedroom is nine square metres with a six square metre terrace. The fourth bedroom is 10 square metres and it has a balcony over the courtyard.
The courtyard at the back of the house is 13 square metres, and it leads onto a 45-square metre garden.

The bustling village of Nadur is one of the larger villages on the island and is the most populated. It can be found on the northeast side of the island, between the villages of Qala and Xaghra, on one of the island’s three hills. From here you can see most of Gozo, Malta and the rising sun in the mornings, explaining the rising sun on the emblem of Nadur.
Nadur’s church is dedicated to the saints Peter and Paul. Their feast, Mnarja, is celebrated on the 29th of June and is one of the most popular on the island. Nadur has picturesque valleys and very fertile lands, producing 70 percent of the island’s citrus fruits. The closest beaches are Ramla, Dahlet Qorrot and San Blas.
Nadur is scattered with watch towers, hence the word Nadur means “look out” in Arabic. In modern days Nadur is better known for its unique Carnival activities which pulls tourists from across the world.
