Modern Townhouse in Sliema
This double-fronted townhouse is truly unique in Sliema as it offers a combination of rooms, landing and lounge area on the ground and first floors. It consists of a freshly renovated hundred-year-old facade and an independent modern three-floor cast concrete and brick structure built 17 years ago. There is a spacious back yard spanning the full width of the house, and an additional internal yard (with 10 sqm large enough to also host a lift) in the central part of the house offering natural light throughout the day in every room, lounge or landing on every floor in the house.
The ground floor is an open space area that is divided by a long corridor leading to the two yards, with a sitting room and separate dining room at the front, and the kitchen and living room at the back of the house. A spacious staircase leads to a large landing that offers access to the main bedroom, a shower/toilet, a second bedroom with a balcony, and a lounge with an internal window and staircase up to the second floor featuring an internal balcony overlooking the atrium. The main bedroom suite comes complete with a walk-in wardrobe and en-suite bathroom with a jacuzzi.
The second floor, which can be reached through the lounge area on the first floor, consists of two bedrooms, each with its own terrace/balcony, one bathroom overlooking the internal yard, a washroom and access to the roof.
At roof level one can find another room completely detached from the rest of the house with windows on two sides. This could make a study or studio. There are also connections for a second kitchen in place. The house underwent significant modernization four years ago and is now equipped with parquet flooring throughout the ground floor, 12 solar panels and a heat pump for warm water. A pellet stove situated in the living room with a duct to the first floor offers cosy warmth during the wintertime.

Sliema and the coastline up to neighbouring St. Julian's constitute Malta's main coastal resort. The town began to develop rapidly in the early 20th century as a summer resort for wealthier Valletta residents. Their elegant villas and townhouses line the quiet, inland streets.
Sliema is a centre for shopping, restaurants and café life. It is also a major commercial and residential area and houses several of Malta's most recent hotels. The Sliema promontory offers on one side stunning views across to Valletta and on the other, open sea views. The promenade, which runs for several kilometres from Gżira just south of Sliema to St. Julian's, is ideal for walker and joggers. There are plenty of seats along the promenade and on summer evenings the seafront becomes a sociable meeting place for locals and tourists.
House prices in Sliema are in the upper range.
