ABOUT MGARR

Mġarr is a typical rural village in one of Malta's quietest corners, approximately five kilometres from the town of Mosta. It is surrounded by rich farmland and vineyards and most of the local population is still engaged in agriculture. Several picturesque spots can be found in this town, including Binġemma, Wardija, Fomm ir-Riħ and Ġnejna Bay. The countryside is superb for walks.

Mġarr is famous in Malta for serving the traditional rabbit dish. The local area is excellent for cycling, as traffic is less dense than in the more populated areas of the island.
